The narwhal is a toothed whale, but their teeth don't grow in their mouths. The tooth grows from their upper left jaw and protrudes 2-3 meters( on average). Female narwhal very rarely grow tusks, but male narwhals mostly every time grow a tusk, sometimes more than one tusk.
